Mexico Monday
Well it is Mexico Monday, time for a trip update. First off today I had to took Andrea back to O'Hare so she could head back to NYC. We took a picture before she had to leave.
So like I said it is Mexico Monday. Today I got out the suitcases (yes I know I am going in May and it is a month away but I like packing). I took all the stuff from my laundry basket (temporary suitcase) and put the things in the two suitcases. I am glad, so far both are only half full. I want at least one to be pretty empty for souvenirs. I also started assessing the bath stuff and what else we need to buy. Very excited and can not wait for the trip.

One more thing. Mom gave me a lot of family pictures to scan so I bought this from Amazon. I am so excited to try and it and can not wait until it comes!

Goodwill and Pasta Sunday
Since Andrea came on Friday there could be no Goodwill Friday. Which was fine as I wanted to take her to Goodwill. We went to Round Lake Beach, Mundelein, and Lake Zurich. Andrea found some cool pants for Halloween and a shirt with a rhinestone zipper (which was like $80 originally). Here are my finds:
After Goodwill we came home and had soup and salad for lunch. Mom and dad came over around 4:30pm to hang out and we talked and looked at pictures. We went to That Pasta Place for dinner. Andrea and I both had Gnocchi. I love home made gnocchi! Then we looked at our wedding pictures and talked downstairs with Justin before heading to bed. The weekend seemed to go by fast, but it was so much fun!

Shopping Saturday
Saturday Andrea and I got up early and took the 9am Metra train into the city. It was time to get our shop on! First stop was some Starbucks to get us a warmed up as it was a bit chilly. I had a Decaf Carmel Machiato and she had an Decaf Americano. Next stop was New York and Co for their 50% off sale. They did not my dress or one of Drea's dresses in our sizes so we had to order them. I bought these things:
I also got a silver cuff. Andrea got two strapless dresses, one silver flowers and one spring colored flowers and this dress.
Next we went to H&M, Forever 21 (jewelery for Mexico)

Macy's, and many more places. Macy's also had their flower show going on which was very nice. I also got a very cool black dress for our trip that was originally $90 for only $18. We had lunch in Macy's at Rick Bayless' Frontera Fresco. I had Chicken Chureso tacos and we both had some chips and corn soup. Yum Yum.
After State Street we went to Millennium Park to see the bean. I will have some pictures of that hopefully in a few days. Here are some of Drea in the park.
Next stop Michigan Avenue. We did some more shopping there before hitting Chipotle for dinner. We had to catch the 8:35 train so we were only able to grab the food and go. The guy in front of us would not move forward because he wanted to lean on the wall. Even though the people in front of him were like 6 feet away. I think he realized how dumb it was and moved. We hailed a cab and headed to the train. It was a super fun day. We got some great finds and had a lot of fun!

Finally Friday!!
Friday I had a very exciting day. After work I went to O'Hare to pickup my old neighbor from Brooklyn (old meaning she was my neighbor not that she is old :) ) Andrea. She flew from JFK to O'Hare on Jet Blue. After I picked her up we met Justin at Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. The theme this time was lemon and they had a lot of lemon dishes. They were all yummy! After that we went home and Andrea got to meet the Guido Cat. We also looked at pictures and hung out. Andrea brought me a special present from NY that I am having a hard time finding in Chicago. Rainbow cookies!! 2 pounds of them.
Fill in the Blank Friday
1. A day without feeling loved and appriciated is a day wasted.
2. The most important things in life are family, friends, and living life the best you can!
3. I dream of having kids oneday and being a mom. Spending as much time as possible with friends and family.
6. I dread going to the DMV!
7. A discovery I made this week was no matter how long it has been since you have seen a friend, sometimes it seems like time hasn't passed at all!
